Losing Weight?
I am constantly losing things. Just because I created a "place" for something to be stored when not in use, does not mean the other 5 people in this house can remember to put something back. Lost
I can be just as lazy as the next person and I can postpone returning something to its proper place because I am busy and I will do it later. Lost
We are ready to walk out the door and someone says --Oh I have to have a _____ you fill in the blank. I guarantee that whatever it is you are going to have to search for it because it is -------Lost.
Losing weight - sorry not happening.
More organization I cry - I am so darn tired of losing things. I hate losing things.
I spend 90% of my time convincing my mind that I don't want to lose things, I want to stop losing things. How about you? Do you want to lose your money? Do you want to lose your job or your house? How about your youth - want to lose that?
If you have a broken down couch that you want to replace, do you say to yourself, I want to lose that couch. No you buy a new couch and get rid of the old one. You give it away, throw it away, whatever, but you joyfully happily give that old thing another place to be.
You are playing a game with friends, do you want to lose? No you want to Win. You are up for a promotion, do you want to lose? No you want to Win.
You get the idea - your mind knows that LOSE is a BAD thing. Good heavens, how are we supposed to lose weight when our mind knows that losing anything is bad and stressful?
All righty then - let us change our vocabulary when speaking to the brain about changing our weight.
How about spending, mostly we like to spend for things we want. So spend 1/2 a pound to clean up the yard. How about spending a pound to move furniture or wash the car.
I can spend some ounces everyday by walking - at the end of the week I can exchange those ounces for pounds of stored fat turned into muscle. I am exchanging my old stored fat for new lean muscle. I am not losing it - I am giving it away in exchange for new lean muscle.
Once my brain is really comfortable with the concept of exchanging old stored fat for new lean muscle, it is really going to get into the game. It will start coming up with more and more situations that I can use to continue that process.
Now at first my body may complain. It may bring out some aches and pains, some sweating and my skin my look yucky because of all the toxins suddenly being released into the blood stream. But as more and more of those toxins are released and removed my body is going to be happy to kick in with some additional help to flush the toxins away. The first thing my body will want is plain water to wash out the toxins. My body and brain working together will start making me want more water and fruit. If I am generous with my body, I have started taking herbs to help with the elimination of those toxins. I am also taking herbs to support all the additional work my kidneys and liver are having to do to eliminate all those toxins.
My feet are going to be restless until I go for my walk. My heart is going to beat stronger and easier because it will be freed of all the impediments that used to drag it down. I will have to start carrying hand weights and ankle weights when I walk, because I won't have all that stored fat to carry around.
Now I can exchange old stored fat for new jeans (in a smaller size) and I can breathe easier and deeper. My skin is taking on that glow of good health.
Hey, I haven't lost anything - I have gained. Losing Weight is no longer in my vocabulary.
