The stomach or belly fat is the number one area that most people would like to improve and the majority of those people will do almost anything..... such as spending thousands of dollars .....to reduce belly fat and get those six-pack abs. Problem is, the one thing that is required is hard work not money.
Pills are popular because they promise the results people want without physical exertion or sweating.
They promise that years of neglect and unhealthy diet can be reversed in just a few weeks. Whether or not these drugs actually do any good is up for debate.
I am not talking about honest tested herbs that help the health of your body.
The majority of diet supplements to reduce belly fat available on the market today use active ingredients that are not approved by the FDA as being safe for human use.
Many times these special elements have no scientific evidence to back up their wild claims.
Ingredients such as ma huang, ephedra, and aristolochia have been shown to produce adverse effects like heart palpitations, kidney failure, and, in the most extreme cases, even death.
Slowly but surely the FDA is banning these ingredients from being sold in the USA.
Herbal supplements have no regulatory agency in the United States and thus a manufacturer could put anything in a pill, call it herbal, and then sell it on the market without ever presenting any proof of safety or even if the pill causes fat loss or muscle growth.
Ingredients like ephedra are banned only when enough people become ill or die. Do you really want to be one of those people just to get the six-pack of your dreams?
OK, so maybe you and I will not get the perfect six-pack abs. But we can reduce belly fat and have a flat stomach instead of protruding bulging lumpy belly that obstructs our breathing and even makes it difficult to bend over to pick something up off the floor.
Until you get to the point that you can bend over and touch your toes, don't worry too much about sit-ups. Concentrate on losing some weight and building the basic muscle structure by walking every day and using weights in your Home Gym.
