Your Home Gym
You have this wonderful dream about having your own home gym. You see yourself getting up 30 minutes early in the morning and just slipping on some old comfortable clothes and walking a few steps to your own space with all the equipment you need to work out. Once finished you get to shower in your own bathroom and dress for work and off you go.
Or maybe you fantasize about coming home from work and changing into those same old comfortable clothes and going to your own space to work out before supper.
Can you actually see yourself doing the exercise routine? Are you walking or running on a treadmill? Is the bowflex the image in your dreams? Are you picturing yourself with those perfect abs?
Want to know a secret? Those daydreams may just make the difference in you using that exercise equipment for exercise or as a clothes hanger.
A home gym is well worth the investment but only if you will use it as intended.
Those day dreams will get your mind in the habit of using your exercise equipment everyday. You can instill that habit just by spending the 30 minutes you would be working out in daydreaming about that work out. See yourself doing the weights. See yourself riding the bike or bouncing on the trampoline.
Use that 30 minutes to sit and contemplate. If you cannot spare the 30 minutes to use the exercise equipment in your dreams, I can almost guarantee you will not find the time to use it in reality.
Time is time. If you don't have time to set your mind up to exercise, you will not get your body to do the routines.
So, before you go buy that home gym, spend two weeks getting prepared for it. If you can make yourself adhere to 30 minutes a day of mind work, it will be a snap to convert that to the actual work out. No, for this to work, you can't sit in front of the TV or the computer, but you do get to sit in a comfortable chair. Even better, go for a walk for 30 minutes.
