Belly Fat and Self Image

Did we always want to reduce belly fat?

I remember well being pregnant. The one thing in common with both pregnancies was the relief that I would not have to watch out for a protruding belly. In fact now it was a good thing.

I could smile when I saw that growing stomach. Other people would smile. My family would pat my tummy and smile.

Of course once the baby was born, it was back to the old struggle of losing the belly fat and flattening the stomach.

Considering how much control the subconscious mind has on everything we do, I wonder if somewhere in my brain is the thought that a big belly is a good thing. Is that working against me now?

I am doing a series of EFT rounds on this very subject. I want to re-educate my brain that a flat stomach is a good thing. I know there is much more involved in losing the belly fat, but it seems to me that doing the EFT cannot hurt.
