You will find a free list of negative calorie foods below, but first—

There is no such thing as a negative calorie – a calorie is a unit of heat and it cannot be negative. So when people talk about negative calorie foods, this is just a food whose calorie level is low enough that it takes more energy to eat it and digest it than the food contains.

For example, if you consider water to be a food, then cold water is certainly a negative calorie food. It contains no calories at all and the body has to expend energy to bring the cold water up to blood temperature. So every time we drink a glass of cold water we burn up a couple of calories and lose a little weight.

But there are very few foods like this. Most foods that are on the list do not really use more calories than they add, or if they do the effect is negligible … until you remember that at the same time you are eating, your body expends energy just to keep alive and breathing. Celery for example does not give us enough calories to cover both the energy that it takes to digest it, plus the energy that we expend even when we are doing nothing. So that is why people call it a negative calorie food……. Negative Calorie Foods

How about this picture – You are going for your daily walk, at least half of that walk is brisk enough to build some muscle and you are munching on celery and drinking your distilled water which you have in your own bottle to save the land fill from plastic.

Yes, it has been quite a while since I posted to this blog. I have been too stressed out to post here or on the anti-stress blog.

Do you have a storage area in your home? When was the last time you cleaned it out and threw away the junk you no longer need? Is your storage area in one place or spread out in every room? Yup – like body like home.

The belly fat issue is two fold. You lack the back muscle to hold the front of your torso in proper place and sugar and bad fats need some place to stay if not used.

For the next 3 days give up something – margarine or white bread or cola or sugar or you pick. If you can live without that for 3 days you can live longer without it for the rest of your life.

until next time – laugh

Good fact to know.

If the healthy female body does not get enough flax oil, omega-3 and omega-6 her body’s metabolism will not function correctly and she is more susceptible to weight gain.

While diet pills can be an easy way to lose weight, they do not cause a re-balance of nutrients in your body. They only cause a loss of appetite by using a chemical that is in the diet pills known as phentermine or fenfluarmine.

Using diet pills alone to lose weight is counter productive. Without an exercise routine that is continued after the pills are discontinued, the weight is just going to pile back on your body.

The more important factor in losing weight is re-learning your eating habits. If you have a balanced nutritional intake, you are less likely to gain weight. Couple balanced nutrition with exercise and excess weight will just naturally come off.

Because of this, it is important to plan out your meals. There are several nutritious facts to consider when you are planning the right meals during the day.

The first consideration is Balance. All of your meals should include a balanced diet. If you have a lot of bread and dairy for breakfast, balance it with fruits and vegetables later on during the day.

It is impractical to demand that you eat only a piece of fruit for breakfast if you will not do it. So if breakfast for you is a bowl of cereal with milk, then you can opt for a no added sugar cereal and low fat milk.

You can use the standard food pyramid to judge balance or simply listening to what your body needs. Your body does not need sugar. That is an addiction that your brain has become adjusted to and is just like smoking. It becomes almost an unconscious habit to feed that addiction.

Because your brain is already confused by all that sugar, the signal that you are hungry is probably just a signal that you are thirsty. Confusion goes with sugar. Sugary drinks only make you dehydrated and your brain needs water.

Good advice – At the first thought of I am hungry — go get a glass of water. Then get those hands busy. I am hungry translates from I am bored or thirsty – most of the time.

Losing weight and stopping smoking have a lot in common. Both require you to develop new habits to replace the body damaging habits of old. Busy your hands with something you like to do such as a hobby or busy your hands and brain by learning something new.

If you currently munch on chips while reading a book — put the book down. Go do something physical that does not allow you to munch.
