There are many ways to be strong. Strong mind, strong back, strong will or even strong breath.
Strength training is all the rage and it should be. When you have strong bones and muscles you stand taller and have a flatter stomach. Your internal organs stay in the right place. Your lungs can fill to capacity and your energy will keep you going.
You may not want to look like Mr. Saxon here, but you do want to be strong enough to keep your balance to avoid falls. It seems the older we get the more prone to falls we become. On the other hand my grandchildren fall down all the time and really get rough when playing. But they are flexible and the falls - mostly- do not even result in tears. They may think they are playing but they are really exercising.

Alternating strength training using weights with Yoga and walking is a sure fire way to lose weight and gain the figure you always wanted.
Exercise can help with Arthritis and Heart Disease. First it is a way to avoid those conditions and second it is a way to help cure those conditions.
You don’t have to be a runner. You don’t have to lift extreme weights. You can start with some simple hand weights. You can even use those hand weights during TV commercials.
You don’t have to do an hour of Yoga. Just get in 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the afternoon or evening.
Today take a walk around the block. Tomorrow walk around the block twice. Next week carry those hand weights while you walk. Try to swing your arms. Keep that up and no flappy upper arms on you.
You understand that you don’t have to go to the gym to get some exercise or weight training. If you can go to a gym — great. But if a gym is out of the question, then the question just becomes how and when you will exercise on your own.
Again I ask you — Are you Strong — strong enough to start and stick with that exercise program.
